Russ is Founder and CEO of Scintillant Bioscience, a contract research organization (CRO) specializing in advanced cell models and cell-based assays for discovery and development of drugs and biological therapeutics. Driven by a passion for improving research methodologies, Dr. Teichert's leadership has led to innovations in developing cell-based assays for high-content imaging that have advanced drug-discovery programs to human clinical trials. With a decade-long academic career as a research-faculty member of the department of biology at the University of Utah and industry experience at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Teichert brings a depth of knowledge and expertise to his role. At Scintillant Bioscience, established in 2017, Dr. Teichert collaborates closely with clients to tailor solutions that propel therapeutic compounds from conception to clinical realization, using a wide variety of cell models from immortalized cell lines to primary cells and iPSC-derived cell types. Dr. Teichert and his team strive to continuously improve the predictivity of preclinical assays to benefit human patients and advance medical science. In his spare time Russ likes to downhill ski with his kids and go for summer hikes.
