Ketan served as Head of Rheumatology at Aventis Pharmaceuticals and Director of Rheumatology and Oncology SmithKline Beecham, Chief Medical Officer at Biothera, and Vice President of Pre-clinical and Clinical Research at Neose Technologies. Dr Desai has conducted more than 25 phase I, II, III, and IV local and global studies  either in house or through CROs.  These responsibilities have included recruiting investigators, identifying sites, writing protocols, conducting investigator meetings, selecting CROs, arranging compound supply, study conduct, data analysis, safety monitoring with adverse event reporting, and writing study reports on efficacy and safety. He has also developed the clinical development program and overall strategy of more than 16 products and companies
