Chris is a Biochemist and Molecular Geneticist with a history of biotech entrepreneurialism. Chris formed his first company, Knudra Transgenics, during his postdoc in the Erik Jorgensen Lab at the University of Utah. He grew a company that became a market leader in CRISPR-editing of zebrafish and C. elegans. He placed this company with InVivo Biosystems which continues to build animal models to model disease conditions. Along the way Chris started AxumBio with the goal to build novel antiparasitics. Next, Chris then founded Devinebio to help meet the need of Patient Advocacy Groups in developing drugs to their unmet therapeutic needs. He is passionate about helping families discovery therapies to treat their unmet therapeutic needs. Outside of his passion to help in Rare Disease, Chris likes to backcountry ski, ride his mountain bike, and generally enjoy watching the seasons change in the Wasatch mountains of Utah.
